Laurel Jordan is a Senior Principal at Datos Insights. Datos Insights is the leading research and advisory partner to the insurance industry. Laurel advises on transformative change, drawing on deep expertise in claims and operations. Her career spans new business, reinsurance, and claims. She began in the mailroom and rose through the industry. Laurel Jordan spoke at the 2024 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Managing Natural Disasters with Analytics,” alongside Christopher Lowell, Pete Buccola, and Jason Gross.
Laurel joined Datos Insights in 2026. She brings a practitioner’s perspective to its insurance research and advisory work. Her focus is claims, operations, and how technology can improve them.
Before Datos Insights, Laurel was an Insurance TPA Officer at Sutherland. She led third-party administration solutions, with a specialization in claims. She managed client relationships, conversions, and service delivery. She was also a thought leader and speaker on TPA servicing.
Laurel also co-hosts the “Insurance Sync” podcast. She built and scaled it with Bobbie Shrivastav. The show features carrier executives, insurtech founders, and industry leaders. She is a committed advocate for diversity and mentoring in insurance.
Laurel earned a BBA and an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University.
