Antaun Barnett is Head of Agency Operations and Distribution Strategy at Atlanta Life Insurance Company. At Atlanta Life, Antaun leads enterprise-wide distribution transformation. He built the company’s first fully integrated, multi-channel distribution strategy. That strategy spans captive agency operations, independent producer networks, digital pathways, and institutional partnerships. He also serves as a P&L leader with accountability for revenue growth and margin performance. Antaun spoke at our 2026 InsurTech Spring Conference on “How to Modularize Your System,” alongside Kim Morton, Wil Lombardi, Dheeraj Salhotra, and Laurel Jordan.
Antaun Barnett brings more than 20 years of experience across insurance distribution and financial services. He is also Managing Principal of The Barnett Advisory Group. There, he advises brokerages, IMOs, FMOs, and private equity firms on insurance distribution and sales enablement. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Wealth & Equity – Insurance Literacy, leading operational strategy and partnerships.
Earlier, Antaun spent more than 13 years at New York Life Insurance Company. As Corporate Vice President, he served as Head of Insurance Distribution Strategy and Operations. He led a sales organization across dozens of general offices and a team of consultants. Before that, as a Life Product Consultant, he drove premium growth across the company’s Northeast and Southeast territories. Earlier still, Antaun held roles at Wells Fargo and Mutual of America Securities, working in private banking and asset management.
Antaun Barnett holds an MBA in Business Analytics and Strategic Management from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management. He also earned a BS in Economics from Fairfield University. In addition, he completed a management and leadership program through Harvard Business School Online. For an insurtech audience, Antaun brings a distribution leader’s perspective on multi-channel distribution strategy, agency operations, sales enablement, go-to-market design, and modernizing legacy insurance distribution.
