1. Scope

These terms govern registration for and attendance at events run by Startup Owl, LLC, doing business as InsurTech NY (“we,” “us”). By registering, you agree to these terms and our Refund Policy. Any additional event conditions will be stated before registration.

2. Registration and admission

Provide accurate attendee and payment information. Admission is subject to the ticket type, eligibility requirements, and any approval process stated on the event page. Registration does not guarantee admission where approval is required. Your ticket covers only the access and benefits listed when you register.

3. Refunds and transfers

Our Refund Policy governs cancellations, refunds, credits, substitutions, transfers, resale, event cancellation or postponement, force majeure, and liability relating to event registrations. The no-refund rule for misconduct in section 4 applies notwithstanding the Refund Policy. On other refund and transfer matters, the Refund Policy takes precedence.

4. Conduct and event changes

Follow venue rules and reasonable staff instructions. Harassment, discrimination, disruptive conduct, and unsafe or unlawful behavior are prohibited. We may refuse admission or remove an attendee for misconduct or a breach of these rules. An attendee refused admission or removed for misconduct is not entitled to a refund.

Speakers and agendas may change. These changes do not create any additional refund entitlement; the Refund Policy applies. Event cancellation and postponement are also handled under that policy.

5. Content and third-party platforms

You may record sessions and share or reuse event materials. Materials remain the property of their respective owners; this permission does not grant rights that we do not hold. Speaker views are their own; event content is general information, not professional advice.

Registration and event services may use Luma or Brella. Their applicable platform terms also govern your use of those services.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information in connection with our website and events.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms for future registrations. The version presented when you register applies to your booking. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
