Tandeka Nomvete is the Head of Early Talent Recruitment and University Relations at Ryan Specialty. Ryan Specialty is a global specialty insurance services organization with more than 100 offices worldwide. In her role, Tandeka leads the firm’s global strategy for attracting and developing emerging talent. She has built her career around growing the next generation of risk management and insurance professionals. Tandeka Nomvete spoke at the 2023 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Attracting the Next Generation into Insurance,” alongside Samiksha Padiyar, Michael Ramsey, and Angel Song.
Tandeka began her career at Marsh, the global insurance broker. She worked in risk analysis and client management over five years. She then found her passion for developing insurance talent. She served as National Director of Chapter Engagement at Gamma Iota Sigma. She later led college recruiting at Questpro. Most recently, she was Director of External Engagement at the Spencer Educational Foundation.
Tandeka is a recognized leader and advocate for future insurance professionals. She has earned numerous honors, including Insurance Business America’s Elite Women Award and a spot on Georgia State University’s 40 Under 40. She serves on several boards and advisory councils. These include councils with WSIA and RIMS focused on rising professionals and inclusion.
Tandeka earned a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance, with a minor in Actuarial Science, from Georgia State University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude.
