Samiksha Padiyar is an Actuarial Consultant at EY in New York. She works in the firm’s property and casualty actuarial consulting practice. Her work covers reserve analysis, actuarial modeling, and client advisory. She is an actuary early in a career focused on P&C insurance. Samiksha Padiyar spoke at the 2023 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Attracting the Next Generation into Insurance,” alongside Tandeka Nomvete, Michael Ramsey, and Angel Song.
Samiksha brought a distinctive perspective to that panel. She was a Temple University student at the time. She spoke as a member of the very generation the industry is working to attract.
Samiksha earned a BBA in Actuarial Science from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. She also studied abroad at Yonsei University School of Business in South Korea. During college, she was an active leader on campus. She served as Director of Membership for Gamma Iota Sigma, the insurance industry fraternity. She also worked as a resident assistant, mentoring more than 100 students.
Samiksha began her insurance career through internships. She interned in property and casualty consulting at EY. She also completed an internship at Cigna, working on competitive analysis for individual and family health plans. She joined EY full time in 2024.
