Will Wood is the Director of Life and Health at INSTANDA. INSTANDA is a fully digital, no-code insurance platform. It lets carriers, brokers, and MGAs design, rate, underwrite, quote, bind, issue, and service insurance products. The platform is 100% cloud-based and built for both P&C and Life & Health markets. It works with insurers across more than a dozen countries. Will leads its Life and Health business. He helps insurers replace legacy systems and launch new digital products quickly. He has led teams that brought complex life, health, and embedded insurance propositions to market in a matter of weeks. Will Wood spoke at the InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Bringing New Products to Market Quickly,” alongside Stacey Brown of InsurTech Hartford, Marie-Christine Razaire of Northwestern Mutual, Manisha Dias of SCOR, and Greg Beaumont of EY.
Before INSTANDA, Will spent over a decade at Aviva, one of the UK’s largest insurers. He started on the graduate scheme and rose to Head of UK SME Strategy, Insight and Propositions. Along the way he worked across pensions, workplace benefits, and SME insurance. He led proposition development and took new products from strategy to market. He also served as a Board Trustee at Crossroads Care, a charity supporting unpaid carers.
Will’s focus is helping insurers move faster. He understands both the product side and the technology side of insurance. He has launched products across life, health, P&C, and embedded insurance. His work centers on cloud-native, no-code platforms, digital distribution, and legacy modernization.
Will holds a BA (Hons) in Management Studies and Psychology from York St John University.
