Todd Rissel is the Chairman and CEO of e2Value. e2Value provides valuation software for the insurance and mortgage industries. Todd co-founded the company in 1997 with his business partner, George Moore. Together, they grew it into one of the most widely used valuation systems in the market. Its patented Expert Valuation System helps P&C and mortgage companies value their portfolios. It also helps them understand risk and know their customers better. Todd Rissel spoke at the 2025 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Embedded in Commercial Lines,” alongside Rohit Makhijani, Darnella Schutzman, Tobias Milchereit, and Gabriel Weiss.
Todd’s valuation expertise runs deep. Before e2Value, he spent more than 12 years as an Appraisal Manager at Chubb Insurance. There he valued some of the world’s most beautiful homes and antique buildings. That hands-on appraisal knowledge shaped e2Value’s technology. Earlier, he owned a home-building business, which gave him a builder’s understanding of property.
At e2Value, Todd focuses on helping insurers value property accurately. His work centers on insurance-to-value, risk analysis, and loss control. He helps carriers standardize their portfolios and apply risk rules consistently. His goal is to help companies improve underwriting and reduce loss ratios.
Todd holds a BS in Business Management from Ithaca College.
