Todd Katz

MetLife

Todd Katz is the Executive Vice President and Head of U.S. Group Benefits at MetLife. He leads MetLife’s U.S. Group Benefits business, which generates more than $22 billion in revenue. The business serves over 50,000 group insurance customers. It covers more than 41 million employees and their families. Its clients include 95 of the top 100 Fortune 500 companies. Todd has spent his entire career, more than 30 years, at MetLife. Todd Katz speaks at the 2026 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Transforming the Voluntary Experience,” moderated by Christy Lane, alongside Trevor Garbers and Grace McNamara.

Todd has focused on group benefits throughout his career. He began in sales and sales leadership at MetLife. He then moved into management roles of increasing responsibility. Along the way, he led MetLife’s Dental, Disability, and Group Products businesses. He was named Head of U.S. Group Benefits in 2012. Under his leadership, it has become one of the largest group benefits businesses in the country.

Todd’s expertise spans the full range of group and voluntary benefits. This includes life, disability, dental, and supplemental products. He serves on multiple boards, both inside and outside MetLife. His board work focuses on the life insurance and group benefits industry.

Todd holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brandeis University.
