Rick Wiseley is the Head of Brokery Programs at Stere. Stere is a digital insurance infrastructure platform. It helps program administrators, MGAs, and insurtechs get to market faster and source capacity. Rick also leads business development for the company. He is a senior insurance and reinsurance leader with deep program experience. His expertise spans building primary insurance and reinsurance portfolios across many lines. Rick Wiseley spoke at the 2024 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Launching New Products in Months Not Years,” alongside Jacob Kruse, Nicolas Moskiou, James Crosson, and Nelson Lee.
Rick has built and led insurance programs throughout his career. He created a new program insurance business unit writing $100 million in premium. He also led a joint venture that produced a $40 million California managing general agency. Another partnership became the largest builders risk insurance program facility in the country.
Before Stere, Rick was Senior Vice President at Hiscox USA. He restructured an existing portfolio to return it to profitability. He improved its combined ratio significantly and added new programs. Earlier, he was Vice President at QBE North America, overseeing a $300 million territory. He also served on the advisory board of Relay Platform, a reinsurance placement tool.
Rick earned a BS in Economics from Northwestern University.
