Nicolas Moskiou is the President and CEO of Humania Assurance. Humania is a Canadian life and health insurance company known for digital innovation. Nicolas leads the company’s overall strategy and operations. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries with deep expertise across the business. His background spans product development, actuarial performance, digital distribution, and AI. Nicolas Moskiou spoke at the 2024 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Launching New Products in Months Not Years,” alongside Jacob Kruse, Rick Wiseley, James Crosson, and Nelson Lee.
Nicolas has spent more than six years at Humania. He rose through a series of senior roles to become CEO in 2024. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Product, Innovation, and Partnerships. Earlier, he led group insurance, operations, and customer experience. That path gave him a broad view of the whole business.
Before Humania, Nicolas worked as a Practice Lead in AI at the National Bank of Canada. Earlier, he was Chief Actuary and Leader of Product Manufacturing and Performance at Banque Nationale Assurances. He also served as Head Actuary at Croix Bleue du Québec and as a Senior Actuary at AXA. That deep actuarial foundation shapes his approach to product and strategy.
Nicolas earned a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Concordia University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
