Nelson Lee is a visionary entrepreneur and product strategist leading the next wave of infrastructure innovation in insurance. He is the Founder of Infras (formerly iLife Technologies), a platform providing headless connectivity infrastructure that allows insurance carriers to power and reuse distributor-facing UIs without the need to rebuild core systems. Infras is reshaping how carriers integrate with agencies, broker platforms, and digital distribution channels—dramatically improving speed, flexibility, and scalability.
Nelson founded Infras in 2019 after several years of deep exploration into the insurance industry, driven by the inefficiencies and fragmentation he observed while launching earlier ventures. Through his experience, he identified the critical need for middleware that could unify legacy systems with modern digital experiences. Today, Infras is used by leading carriers and startups alike to accelerate product launches and power better user experiences in distribution.
His entrepreneurial journey began with various ventures in tech and finance, shaped by experiences at companies like Tencent, where he worked on what became Asia’s top video streaming platform, and J.P. Morgan, where he honed his analytical skills in investment banking. A participant in Stanford’s Idea-to-Market program and Plug and Play Insurtech, Nelson brings a unique blend of Silicon Valley product thinking and insurance infrastructure expertise.
With a deep understanding of both technical architecture and industry pain points, Nelson is at the forefront of building the rails for a more connected, composable insurance ecosystem.
