Paul Tyler

Zinnia

Paul Tyler is the Head of Enterprise Marketing and Marketing Innovation at Zinnia. Zinnia is a technology company transforming how life and annuity insurance is distributed and administered. Paul works at the intersection of go-to-market strategy, product, and hands-on software delivery. He describes himself as a builder, with 30 years across insurance, financial services, and technology. He has founded companies, launched incubators, and shipped production AI software. Paul Tyler spoke at the 2023 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “How to Sell to Millennials and Gen Z,” alongside Jared Rieger, Steve Robinson, and Bryan Davis.

Before Zinnia, Paul spent nearly eight years as Chief Marketing Officer at Nassau Financial Group. There he created one of the industry’s early enterprise AI strategies and established the company’s AI governance group. He also founded Nassau Re/Imagine, an insurtech incubator that supported a dozen startups. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation featured it as a model for public and private innovation. He built the industry’s first direct-to-consumer annuity platform.

Paul also spent more than four years as a Senior Vice President at Fidelity & Guaranty Life. He built the investor relations function supporting the company’s NYSE IPO. He earlier spent 14 years at MetLife across strategy, finance, operations, and compliance.

Paul is a well-known voice in the life and annuity world. He co-hosts “That Annuity Show,” named one of the top investor podcasts by U.S. News. He is also a member of LIMRA’s AI Governance Group.

Paul holds an AB in History from Princeton University. He also earned a JD from Cornell Law School.
