Lisa Wardlaw works at the intersection of risk, decision-making, and execution. She serves as Deputy Global Strategy and Innovation Leader for Property and Casualty at Oliver Wyman. She helps shape global strategy and leads execution across North America. She has more than 30 years of experience as a CFO, COO, CIO, and Chief Strategy Officer. Her focus is designing decision and risk systems that hold up as automation and AI accelerate. Lisa Wardlaw spoke at the 2023 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Conquering Unstructured Data with InsurTechs,” alongside Swatee Singh, Michael Levin, and Robert Huntsman.
At Oliver Wyman, Lisa translates actuarial rigor and emerging technology into decision systems. She works with CFOs, CROs, and chief actuaries on high-consequence decisions. Her focus is where traditional models strain and judgment matters most. She previously founded 360 Digital Immersion, an advisory practice for the insurance ecosystem.
Lisa spent more than 11 years at Munich Re. She rose to EVP and Global Chief Digital Strategy and Transformation Officer for global reinsurance. As COO and CFO for North American Life, she replaced more than 40 legacy systems in under 15 months. She also served as Chief Strategic Financial Officer at Farmers New World Life.
Earlier, Lisa was a Director in Transaction Services at PwC. She began her career in finance and accounting leadership roles. She is a CPA with deep financial and operational expertise.
Lisa also hosts the podcast Insurance Unplugged and publishes the newsletter Insurance Amplified. She earned a BA in Business Administration from Rhodes College.
