Bryan Adams is Senior Vice President and Head of Catastrophe Analytics at Arch Insurance Group, a global specialty insurer. At Arch, Bryan leads a team specializing in model research, portfolio management, and cyber catastrophe analytics. Since 2021, he has grown the team from four members to fifteen. He translates complex analytics into clear business outcomes for underwriting, finance, and claims. Bryan spoke at our 2024 InsurTech Spring Conference on “Improving Combine Ratios w/ 3rd Party Data,” alongside Jeff Goldberg, Sebastien Bert, Scot Barton, and Isaac Wash.
Bryan Adams brings two decades of experience in risk management and catastrophe modeling. Before Arch, Bryan served as Senior Vice President and Head of Analytics at Ventus Risk. Earlier, he was Vice President of Product Management at Guy Carpenter. There, he led development of the reinsurance broker’s multinational online product offering.
Bryan’s career spans both insurance and financial technology. He held technology leadership roles at BNY Mellon and UBS Investment Bank, delivering data and reporting platforms for complex trading businesses. Earlier, he spent several years at Guy Carpenter in an earlier vice president role. Across these roles, Bryan built expertise in analytics, data pipelines, and geospatial technology.
Bryan Adams holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University, with a concentration in finance and computer information systems. For an insurtech audience, Bryan brings a catastrophe analytics leader’s perspective on modeling, portfolio risk, geospatial analytics, third-party data, and modernizing how the industry understands risk.
