Bill Cohen is Senior Consultant for Strategic Partners at Lincoln Financial Distributors, the wholesale distribution arm of Lincoln Financial. At Lincoln, Bill identifies, onboards, and manages a portfolio of innovative digital distribution platforms. He works at the intersection of insurance, distribution, and emerging technology. His focus is on bringing insurtech and digital distribution partners into Lincoln’s enterprise. Bill spoke at our 2025 InsurTech Spring Conference on “Making Financial Planners your Ally,” alongside Larry Krasner, Michael Konialian, and Sharon Rodriguez.
William Cohen describes himself as a third-generation financial services professional. He has spent more than a decade at Lincoln Financial Distributors. Before his current role, Bill served as a Consultant for Strategic Partners. He also worked as an Account Manager on the Enterprise Business Development team. There, he supported field relationship management, business development, and sales strategy across the organization.
Bill began his Lincoln career through the company’s competitive Leadership Preparation Program. The two-year rotational program prepares participants for increasingly complex roles. He also worked as a Digital Marketing Associate, managing the firm’s social media operations. Beyond his work at Lincoln, Bill serves on the Board of Directors of The Maji Movement. He has also volunteered as a mentor for the Global Insurance Accelerator.
Bill Cohen holds an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Management, cum laude, from the University of Delaware. For an insurtech audience, Bill brings a distribution professional’s perspective on digital distribution, insurtech partnerships, sales enablement, relationship management, and connecting emerging technology with established financial services.
