Martin Reeves

BCG Henderson Institute

Martin Reeves is a leading thinker, author, and advisor on business strategy, innovation, and creativity. He is the founder and former chair of the BCG Henderson Institute, BCG’s think tank for exploring ideas beyond the world of business. He spent 36 years at Boston Consulting Group advising leaders across industries. He is a fellow of Cambridge Judge Business School and a widely published author. He now advises and serves on the boards of several companies. Martin Reeves spoke at the 2023 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Building a Strategy for Participation in Insurance Ecosystems,” alongside Basilios Manousogiannakis, Tom Van Den Brulle, Aviad Pinkovezky, and Tim Hardcastle.

Martin is a prolific author on strategy. His book “Your Strategy Needs a Strategy” is a widely used guide to matching strategy to circumstance. “The Imagination Machine” explores how to harness imagination to grow mature businesses. His latest book, “Like,” traces the history of the Like button and what it reveals about innovation and technology.

Martin spent his entire consulting career at BCG. He founded the BCG Henderson Institute and served as its chair. He was also a BCG Fellow. He advised leaders around the world on business strategy across many industries.

Martin writes frequently for Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review. He is also a trustee of the London Institute for Mathematical Sciences. He advises companies including Arabesque and CrowdSmart.ai.

Martin holds an MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University. He also earned an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
