Tim Hardcastle is the CEO and Co-Founder of INSTANDA. INSTANDA is a SaaS platform for the insurance industry. It lets insurers design, distribute, and manage any type of insurance product. The platform is known for its speed, flexibility, and no-code approach. Tim co-founded the company to bring agility and lower costs to insurance. He has led INSTANDA since 2015. Tim Hardcastle spoke at the 2023 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Building a Strategy for Participation in Insurance Ecosystems,” alongside Martin Reeves, Basilios Manousogiannakis, Tom Van Den Brulle, and Aviad Pinkovezky.
Before leading INSTANDA full-time, Tim co-founded F2X Group. F2X developed the insights behind INSTANDA and funded its design and build. Under Tim’s leadership, INSTANDA earned early recognition as a true innovator. Microsoft UK selected it for its ventures program in 2016. It was also voted Best Insurtech by Insurance Insider in 2017. The platform is now used by leading insurance organizations around the world.
Tim brings a strong background in insurance and enterprise technology. He served as Chief Information Officer at Hiscox, a specialist insurer. There he rebuilt the technology strategy and turned around its online delivery program. Earlier, he was a CIO and Transformation Director at Jarvis, helping lead a major cost turnaround. He also served as COO of a fast-growing UK outsourcing business.
Tim holds a BA (Hons) in International Relations.
