Faros Health

Austin Browning is Chief Executive Officer of Faros Health, a Dallas-based healthcare technology company focused on helping people make more informed healthcare decisions. At Faros Health, Austin leads work around the ENLIGHT platform, which gives users a more complete view of care options by bringing quality, cost, and customer experience into one place. The platform is designed to make it easier for people to find and choose care with greater confidence and less uncertainty. Austin spoke at the 2025 InsurTech Spring Conference in a fireside chat titled “Fitting Health Navigation into the Puzzle,” alongside Guy Ezekiel of Zorro, Kevin Morgan of Prudential, and Manu Mazumdar of Conning.

Austin’s work is grounded in a practical healthcare challenge: patients and members often struggle to understand their care options before making decisions. Through Faros Health, Austin Browning focuses on improving healthcare navigation by helping users compare care options using clearer information about quality, cost, and experience. That focus makes his work relevant to employers, benefits leaders, brokers, and healthcare partners looking for better ways to support informed decision-making.

Before joining Faros Health, Austin worked at Catalyst Health Group in Plano, Texas, where he served as Business Performance Analyst and, earlier, as Administrative Resident. His experience at Catalyst gave him exposure to healthcare operations, performance improvement, and the business side of care delivery. Earlier in his career, Austin worked as a Health Administration Associate with Tim Martin, MD, adding to his grounding in healthcare administration and provider operations.

Austin Browning holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Abilene Christian University and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. He also earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from The High Reliability Training Academy, reflecting his interest in structured process improvement and operational discipline. In addition, Austin has volunteered as a Business Coach with Watermark Community Development Corporation, supporting entrepreneurs through a program designed to help communities thrive through business ownership.

For an insurtech audience, Austin Browning brings a healthcare technology perspective on health navigation, price transparency, quality and cost comparison, employee benefits, and the role of better information in helping people choose care.
