Manu Mazumdar is the Head of Data Analytics and Insurance Technology at Conning. Conning is a leading global insurance investment management and research firm. Manu leads its data analytics and insurance technology research. His executive experience spans private equity, technology, and management consulting. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on how insurers adopt AI. Manu Mazumdar spoke at the 2025 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Carrier Innovation Playbook,” alongside Tony Lew.
Manu has been with Conning since 2022. He joined as Vice President for Retirement and Insurance Technology and was promoted to lead the practice. He is an industry thought leader and published author. His focus areas include AI adoption, workflow efficiency, and workforce reskilling.
Before Conning, Manu was CEO of Windsor Capital, a strategic advisory firm. He also served as President of Arrowpoint Technologies, a global private equity company. There he led operations across North America and India and drove strong revenue growth. Earlier, he was COO of Beneco, a private-equity-backed insurance and benefits company.
Manu also led investment and retirement groups at MassMutual Life Insurance. He currently serves on multiple boards as a director and corporator. That combination gives him a broad view of insurance, technology, and investing.
Manu holds an MBA from West Chester University. He also earned executive leadership credentials from Harvard University and McKinsey & Company.
