On Dec 5th, four debaters took the stage – an AI startup founder, a VC venture partner, a solution provider partner, and a law firm partner. They debated on whether the government should reduce barriers for AI and Analytics platforms to access data.

One side made the case that the use of unrestricted data in AI models improves lives. The other side argued that humans have a basic need for privacy and security. The same debate is taking place in corporate boardrooms, among startup founders, and by venture capitalists.

Together as an industry, one that holds trillions of records, our industry leaders must put in the intellectual work to decide where balance exists between total privacy and unrestricted access.
