Victor Dan is the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) at Guggenheim Securities. He leads the firm’s FP&A function. This covers financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. He also provides strategic insights and recommendations to the firm’s CEO, CFO, and COO. Victor is a strategic finance leader with more than 15 years in financial services. His experience spans investment banking, asset and wealth management, life insurance, corporate finance, and M&A. Victor Dan spoke at the 2019 War Stories Working with InsurTech Startup event, on the corporate-perspective panel, alongside Megan Protas, Daren Moreira, and Brian Gilman.
Before Guggenheim, Victor was Global Head of FP&A at AlTi Tiedemann Global, a global wealth and asset manager. There he led zero-based budgeting, long-range financial planning, and board-level reporting. He also built and led FP&A teams across the US and UK. Earlier, he served as Head of FP&A at Lord, Abbett & Co., a $250 billion asset manager. He led a global FP&A transformation and reported directly to the CFO. His work there improved operating margins and modernized financial reporting.
Victor spent seven years at Prudential Financial as Vice President of FP&A and Strategy. He worked across the company’s life insurance and annuities business, its asset management arm PGIM, and corporate development. In that time he supported M&A, capital management, and enterprise strategic initiatives. He evaluated and executed growth opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions.
Victor is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia Business School. He also holds a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Middlebury College.
