Nash Nakanishi is the US CEO and Global Chief Sales Officer at BoostDraft. BoostDraft is a legal technology company that builds an assisted document editor for legal professionals. Nash oversees its US business and global sales. Before legal tech, he spent years as an insurtech investor and corporate venture leader. His expertise spans cyber risk, insurtech, HR tech, and IoT. Nash Nakanishi spoke at the 2024 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Investing in Early Stage vs. Late Stage InsurTechs,” alongside David Gritz, Dave Wechsler, and Josh Curry.
Nash spent more than three years with Tokio Marine’s venture and innovation arm. He rose from Investment Lead to Managing Partner and Deputy Head of Innovation. Based in Silicon Valley, he invested in fintech, healthcare, and generative AI startups. He also backed top-tier venture capital funds. That work gave him a deep view of insurtech investing at every stage.
Nash has long been connected to the startup community. He was a member of FINOLAB, a community for fintech startups, for more than eight years. Earlier, he worked as an MBA consultant at Siemens Advanta Consulting.
Nash earned an MBA from Cambridge Judge Business School. He also studied law at Kyoto University.
