David is the co-founder of InsurTech Fund, a seed-stage VC fund focused on InsurTech and InsurTech adjacencies. InsurTech Fund has built a portfolio of five companies. David is also the Managing Director and co-founder of InsurTech NY, the largest InsurTech community in North America. InsurTech NY has run a growth-stage accelerator for several years and graduated 80 portfolio companies. It also runs the Digital MGA Lab which has graduated nine InsurTechs focused on distribution of insurance.

Prior to InsurTech NY, David served as the Director of Innovation for the Silicon Valley Insurance Accelerator (SVIA). At SVIA, David was responsible for running startup showcases, conferences on insurance trends, and research for member insurance carriers.

David also co-founded Zero, a behavioral safety-focused InsurTech. At Zero, he led product development and was responsible for designing and building the application that was used by large-scale industrial companies. Zero was acquired by Everest Re.

David is an active speaker in the InsurTech conference space with past speaking engagements at InsurTech Insights, InsureTech Connect, Reuters, and Digital Insurance. He also has advised InsurTech companies including Livegenic, TrustLayer, Pinpoint Predictive, Safely, and Stream Claims on product development, marketing, and finance. He holds a J.D. from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law and business and industrial engineering degrees from Lehigh University.
