Faroe

Michelle Bothe is the founder of Finsure and the CEO of Faroe. Finsure is a consultancy and building partner for insurtechs, MGAs, and capacity providers. It helps organizations make the right technical and data decisions at critical moments. Faroe is her SaaS venture, a data layer that turns messy insurance data into clean, auditable insights. Michelle works at the crossroads of insurance and technology. Michelle Bothe spoke at a past InsurTech NY event in 2022, “Mastering the Integration Challenge: AI + Core,” alongside Meredith Barnes-Cook, Michael Pastor, Bastiaan de Goei, and Elizabeth Barsalou.

Michelle founded Finsure in 2021. Her team helps MGAs and carriers with policy migrations, accounts receivable, custom marketplaces, and data warehouses. They build, advise, and embed with client teams. She launched Faroe in 2024 to productize that work. Faroe focuses on reconciling premium, commission, and exposure data across the insurance value chain.

Before founding her companies, Michelle was a Technical Business Analyst at Munich Re Digital Partners. She worked with a portfolio of insurtechs. She helped launch digital insurance programs at companies including Next, Vouch, and Embroker.

Michelle spent nearly eight years at Great American Insurance Group. She held a series of data and business analyst roles. She worked on master data management, data warehouses, and service management. That foundation shaped her deep expertise in insurance data.

Michelle earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Informatics from Northern Kentucky University. She also completed an executive program at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
