Max Kane is the Founder and CEO of Novella. Novella is a company built to make complicated insurance simple. Max leads its product vision and growth. He is a product leader and repeat founder with experience across insurtech and technology. He brings a builder’s approach to the insurance industry. Max Kane spoke at the 2025 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Bringing Tech to the Agent Channel,” moderated by Ryan Hanley, alongside Garrett Droege, Scott Knowles, and Josh Curry.
Max founded Novella in 2024. His focus is simplifying complex insurance for customers and agents. That mission draws on his years building consumer-facing insurance and technology products.
Before Novella, Max spent nearly four years at Lemonade. He worked in product at the well-known insurtech, based in Tel Aviv. There he helped build products for one of the most recognized digital insurance brands. That experience shaped his approach to insurance technology.
Max also worked in product at Wix, the website-building platform. Earlier, he co-founded and led VAYO.tech, a startup focused on accounting tools for crypto. He is also an active angel investor in early-stage companies.
Max studied at Reichman University. He completed the Zell Entrepreneurship Program, a selective program for outstanding undergraduates.
