Kasey Roh leads the US business at Upstage. Upstage is a document AI company that processes millions of complex documents a day. It serves Fortune 500 companies across insurance, healthcare, and logistics. Kasey helps enterprises replace legacy document workflows with intelligent extraction. She brings a background across finance, strategy, and technology. Kasey Roh spoke at the 2025 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Get Your Data Ready for AI,” moderated by Jason Gross, alongside Chris Luiz, Dan Bodnar, Tanner Hackett, and Girish Arora.
Kasey joined Upstage in 2024 to launch and lead its US operations. She built the business from the ground up, starting with a team of three. She aligned the product to US market needs and secured top insurance and healthcare customers. Her focus is document extraction that works at scale.
Before Upstage, Kasey worked at the intersection of finance and technology. She managed data center and infrastructure investment strategy at Meta. Earlier, she led billions in financing and asset management at Tesla during its hypergrowth. She also sourced venture investments as a Principal at Sazze Partners.
Kasey is also an active investor. She co-founded Iterative Ventures, an angel network of Meta alumni. She has backed more than 15 companies.
Kasey earned a master’s degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University.
