Cameron Torstenson is Chief Operating Officer at Indemn, an AI-powered conversational insurance platform. At Indemn, Cameron shapes and executes the company’s growth strategy across new markets and channels. He aligns product, marketing, sales, and partnerships around shared growth goals. He also leads data-driven decision-making and strategic partnership development. Cameron spoke at our 2024 InsurTech Spring Conference on “Making the Agent’s Life Easier,” alongside James Riviezzo, Rhonda Marcucci, Aviad Pinkovezky, and John Keddy.
Cameron Torstenson brings more than two decades of experience across insurance, marketing, and sales leadership. He is also Principal of Highbury Insights, where he advises insurtech companies and carriers on AI strategy and customer experience. Before that, Cameron spent nearly 18 years at EMC Life. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
At EMC Life, Cameron led marketing strategy across individual life and annuity products. He managed distribution partnerships spanning thousands of independent agents. Earlier in his career, he held sales and marketing leadership roles across other industries. These included COO of Harvest Systems and vice president of sales roles at MidAmerican Energy and The Boyt Company.
Cameron Torstenson holds an MBA from the University of Iowa, along with graduate certificates in marketing and leadership. He also earned his bachelor’s degree there. For an insurtech audience, Cameron brings a growth and marketing leader’s perspective on AI in insurance, conversational platforms, distribution, customer experience, and modernizing how agents and customers connect.
