Mike Goldman is the President and COO of NFP, an Aon company. NFP is a leading insurance broker and consultant. Mike directs initiatives that help NFP expand within an efficient, regionalized operating structure. He leads the company’s acquisitions and guides the integration of new teams. He also leads NFP’s insurtech and fintech venture investment fund. Mike Goldman spoke at the 2023 InsurTech Spring Conference on the “Presidents Panel: Collaboration as a Competitive Advantage,” moderated by David Gritz, alongside Gaurav Vasisht and Garrett Koehn.
Mike has spent his entire insurance career at NFP. He joined in 2001 and served in a range of roles. He became head of Mergers and Acquisitions in 2005. He rose to President and Chief Operating Officer. His work centers on growth, acquisitions, and technology investment.
Mike leads NFP’s deliberate investment in technology. He heads the company’s insurtech and fintech venture fund. That work supports NFP’s strategy of active engagement with emerging technology. It gives him a direct view of the insurtech landscape.
Before NFP, Mike worked in mergers and acquisitions. He was an associate in the M&A department at the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. That background shaped his approach to deals and integration.
Mike earned a BA from Yale University. He also holds a JD from Columbia Law School. He is involved with Project Sunshine, a children’s charity.
