Vasileios began his career as a network and systems engineer at the Technical University of Crete. There he designed Greece’s first secure, single sign-on, campus-wide WiFi network. He connected distant campus buildings wirelessly, sharply increasing speeds and cutting costs. He also played an early role in the Athens Wireless Metropolitan Network, which linked major Greek cities by high-speed WiFi. He then launched Greece’s first company to provide turn-key hotel WiFi solutions. He even helped his university become the first city-wide wireless ISP for students and faculty. Early on, he founded Philoxenos, a privacy-focused email and hosting provider that still operates today.
Vasileios Stoidis now leads two companies in parallel. 7L International helps businesses worldwide with digital design, development, and marketing. MassiveGRID delivers secure, high-availability cloud hosting to a global customer base. He also gives back to the startup community as a mentor. He mentors founders through XRC Labs, 76 Forward, and The Ember Company.
Vasileios holds a degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete.
