Simon Rees serves as Chief Underwriting Officer for Americas Programs at AXA XL, where he leads the strategic direction and underwriting performance for a broad portfolio of delegated authority partnerships. Based in New York, Simon is instrumental in delivering underwriting capital capacity to leading MGAs and InsurTechs across the Americas.
With nearly two decades of actuarial and underwriting leadership, Simon has held roles across both sides of the Atlantic, including Chief Actuary and Deputy Chief Actuary for the Americas, as well as senior reserving roles in London. His extensive experience spans reinsurance, specialty lines, and delegated authority programs, making him a trusted voice on internal underwriting workflows and fronting relationships.
