Sean Gilday is the Vice President and Head of Network at ManchesterStory. ManchesterStory is a venture capital firm focused on insurtech and fintech. In his role, Sean builds and manages the firm’s network of corporate partners and portfolio companies. He brings more than two decades of experience in life insurance and reinsurance. His expertise spans strategic partnerships, distribution, and innovation. Before ManchesterStory, Sean spent more than 20 years at Reinsurance Group of America. He served as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at the global reinsurer. There he built partnerships across the life insurance and technology landscape. That long tenure gave him deep knowledge of how carriers and reinsurers work together. It also gave him a front-row view of insurtech’s growth.
Sean began his career as a management consultant at GE Capital. He spent six years there before moving into reinsurance. That consulting foundation shaped his approach to strategy and partnerships.
Sean earned an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. He also holds a BA in History and Political Science from Western University.
