Pinpoint Predictive

Scott Ham is the Chief Executive Officer of Pinpoint Predictive. Pinpoint helps insurers use behavioral economics to predict risk behavior early in the customer journey. Its platform combines AI, behavioral science, and privacy-safe processes. The goal is better risk selection and stronger loss ratios. Scott is a veteran insurance executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience. Scott Ham delivered a TED-style talk at the 2024 InsurTech Spring Conference, titled “Using AI to Leverage New Insights.” He also joined a keynote fireside chat at the 2023 conference on engaging with AI-powered insurtechs.

Before Pinpoint, Scott spent nearly 15 years at Transamerica. He served as President and CEO of a major division. There he led the integration of six legacy divisions and roughly 6,000 employees. He held full P&L accountability for a business with $1.6 billion in new sales. He later served as the company’s Chief Distribution Officer. In that role he directed sales, marketing, product development, and distribution.

Scott began his career as a lawyer. He served as Division General Counsel at Aegon and as Business Unit General Counsel at World Financial Group. That legal grounding shaped his approach to strategy and risk.

He also served as a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company. There he acted as CEO of a digital small commercial insurance platform. He advised on strategy, digital tools, and distribution for financial services clients. He is also a Vistage chair, leading a peer advisory group for CEOs.

Scott holds a JD from Pepperdine Law. He also earned a BA in History from Penn State University.
