Sarah Barrett serves as the Chief of Staff at Hippo Insurance, a leading digital-first home insurance company transforming the customer experience through technology and proactive protection. With over a decade of experience in operations, strategy, and customer success, Sarah plays a key role in driving Hippo’s cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment across executive leadership, and accelerating organizational effectiveness.
Before her current role, Sarah held multiple leadership positions at Hippo, including Director of Customer Experience and Senior Director of Customer Operations. Her hands-on experience in customer success and operational leadership has made her a pivotal force in scaling Hippo’s customer-facing teams and maintaining high levels of satisfaction during periods of rapid growth.
Sarah began her career at Deloitte Consulting, where she worked as a Business Analyst focused on operational strategy and process improvement. She later transitioned into roles at Rapt Media and Workiva, building expertise in client services and customer enablement. Her well-rounded background in consulting, SaaS, and insurtech positions her as a strategic leader who bridges product, operations, and customer experience.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Sarah Barrett served as a mentor in the InsurTech NY Match Program, an initiative connecting growth-stage insurtech startups with experienced industry leaders. She joined the ranks of other distinguished mentors, including Basilios Manousogiannakis, Director of Digital & Direct Channels at EMPLOYERS, and Harvey Hudes, Founder & CEO of Caliber Corporate Advisers.
Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, where she cultivated her analytical and leadership skills.
