Ryan Hartman is the Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Chaiz. Chaiz is the first online marketplace for vehicle protection. It lets consumers research, compare, and buy vehicle service contracts in a few clicks. Its technology is fully embeddable for lenders, marketplaces, and online dealers. Ryan leads marketing and growth for the company. He is a marketing executive with 20 years of digital and traditional experience. Before Chaiz, Ryan spent more than four years at The Zebra. The Zebra is the nation’s leading car insurance comparison website. He served as Senior Vice President of Paid Media, its most senior marketing leader. He reported directly to the CEO and sat on the executive team. He managed a $90 million media budget across every major channel. He was also part of the pitch team for the fundraises that made The Zebra a billion-dollar company.
Earlier, Ryan was Head of Digital and Digital Marketing Director at Custom Ink. There he grew digital revenue by 71% and lowered customer acquisition cost significantly.
Ryan built his marketing career in the insurance industry. He spent nearly four years at Esurance, an Allstate company, leading digital marketing. He began at GEICO, where he spent more than six years. There he grew digital spend from $90 million to $170 million while holding his acquisition goals. He also pioneered GEICO’s lead-buying platform, a major source of new business.
Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
