Joshu

Roy Mill is the Co-Founder and CEO of Joshu. Joshu builds software that helps insurers launch and manage commercial insurance products online. Its platform lets carriers and MGAs configure products, quoting, and distribution. Roy leads the company’s vision, product, and growth. He is a product leader and economist by training. His focus is making it easier for insurers to sell complex products digitally. Roy spoke at a past InsurTechNY event.

Before founding Joshu, Roy was Vice President of Product at At-Bay. At-Bay is a well-known cyber insurance company. There he helped build the technology behind its underwriting and distribution. That experience gave him a close view of how a modern insurtech carrier operates.

Earlier, Roy spent more than four years at Ancestry. He served as Director of Product Management and as a Senior Product Manager. He led product work at consumer scale for one of the largest subscription businesses online. That background shaped his approach to user experience and product design.

Roy is also a trained economist. He was an Assistant to the CEO at Ophir Optronics early in his career. He conducted market, competitive, and internal analysis for company leadership.

Roy holds a PhD in Economics from Stanford University. He also earned a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, graduating Cum Laude.
