Peter Meyers is the Vice President of Solutions and Technology and Chief Information Security Officer at Navy Mutual. Navy Mutual Aid Association provides life insurance and annuities to service members and their families. Peter plans, implements, and manages the association’s use of information technology. His responsibilities include technology support and cybersecurity. He has been with Navy Mutual since 2018. Peter Meyers delivered a TED-style talk at the 2023 InsurTech Spring Conference, titled “Journey of a Full Digital Refresh at Navy Mutual.”
Peter joined Navy Mutual as Director of Solutions and Technology. He was promoted to Vice President in 2021 and now also serves as CISO. In that dual role, he leads both technology strategy and information security for the association. His work has centered on modernizing the organization’s systems.
Before Navy Mutual, Peter spent nearly 17 years at Southwest Behavioral & Health Services. He served as Chief Information Officer for almost nine years. Earlier, he was Director of Information Technology there. He began his career at the organization as a network administrator. That path gave him hands-on technical depth alongside executive experience.
Peter earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. He also completed the LIMRA and LOMA Strategic Leadership Experience Program at Wharton Executive Education.
