Peeyush Rai is the Founder and CEO of Weav AI. Weav builds intelligent copilots for the insurance industry using generative AI. Its goal is to help insurers improve efficiency, personalize offerings, and unlock new insights. Peeyush brings more than 25 years of leadership in enterprise and consumer technology. His experience spans cloud, mobile, data science, and internet-scale architecture. Peeyush Rai delivered a TED-style talk at the 2024 InsurTech Spring Conference, titled “The Measurable Impact of Generative AI on Underwriting.”
Peeyush founded Weav in 2021 with a mission to democratize AI. His focus is applying generative AI to the document-heavy work at the center of insurance. That includes underwriting submissions, risk assessment, and decision support.
Peeyush is a repeat founder. He co-founded Ciitizen, where he served as Vice President of Engineering. Ciitizen built a health data platform that gave patients control of their own records. Its technology used computer vision, natural language processing, and machine learning to structure health data. The company was acquired by Invitae.
Peeyush has also advised other technology companies. He served as an advisor to the CTO at Hum Capital, helping build a scalable data platform. Earlier in his career, he built global R&D teams, led acquisitions, and mentored startups.
Peeyush holds a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
