Nick Lamparelli is a catastrophe and risk strategy expert and a well-known voice in the insurance community. He is the Chief Program Officer at Algorithmic Insurance Services, which does business as LIRG. The company helps launch new insurance programs faster and at lower cost. Nick is also Managing Partner of Insurance Nerds, a leading insurance community and media platform. His expertise spans catastrophe modeling, program business, and risk strategy. Nick has helped build several insurtech ventures. He was a Co-Founder and Chief Underwriting Officer of reThought Insurance, a flood insurance company. He later served as its Chief Innovation Officer and a strategic advisor. He also served as Head of Product at Green Shield Risk Solutions.
Nick spent years at the center of catastrophe modeling. He was VP of Catastrophe Modeling at QBE and VP of CAT Strategy at Marsh. Earlier, he was a Senior Product Consultant at AIR Worldwide, a leading catastrophe modeling firm. That work made him a recognized expert in modeling natural disaster risk.
Nick is also an active industry advocate and board member. He is Co-Founder and CEO of the Insurance Advocacy Forum of Florida. He serves on the board of Steadily Insurance and advises FutureProof Technologies. He is well known as a podcaster and blogger through Insurance Nerds and Coverager.
Nick holds a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
