Mica Cooper is a nationally recognized Chief Data Architect and insurtech technologist. He specializes in the structure and secure transmission of data across the insurance value chain. He is the CEO and President of Aisus Insurance. He is also the Founder and CEO of InsureCrypt. He is widely known as a data influencer for the insurtech industry. Mica leads Aisus Insurance, where he has worked for more than two decades. He delivered one of the first internet comparative raters in the US market. That solution streamlined the underwriting experience for agents and carriers. His work spans quote, underwriting, policy, billing, claims, and reinsurance.
Mica also founded InsureCrypt in 2016. InsureCrypt is an encrypted, GDPR-compliant cloud policy administration database. It focuses on securely handling sensitive personal and health data. The company reflects his deep focus on data security in insurance.
Earlier in his career, Mica was a Senior Architect at Expedia Group. He designed and built the Hotels.com reservations website in just four months. Earlier still, he spent more than eight years at Vertafore. He designed a core system that let agencies rate multiple carriers side by side. That early work shaped comparative rating in insurance.
Mica earned a BS from Southwest Baptist University. He studied mathematics, chemistry, and education.
