Lisa Lounsbury is the President and CEO of Big I New York. Big I New York is the state association of independent insurance agents and brokers. Lisa has led the organization since 2017 after years in senior roles there. She is a passionate advocate for independent agents and agency technology. She also serves as President of Big I Connecticut. Lisa Lounsbury spoke at the 2025 InsurTech Spring Conference on the panel “Combining Digital and Analog Distribution,” alongside Justin Delvecchio, Nabeel Tanveer, and Rick Albuck.
Lisa has spent more than 27 years with Big I New York. She began as Senior Vice President and rose to President and CEO. She leads the association’s work supporting independent agencies across the state. Her focus includes advocacy, education, and helping agents adopt technology.
Lisa is also a co-founder of Catalyit. Catalyit is a technology resource that helps insurance agencies choose and use the right tools. It was launched by a group of state agent associations. That work reflects her focus on bridging agents and technology.
Earlier in her career, Lisa worked at Great American Insurance. She served as a Product Specialist and Implementation Coordinator. She earned a degree in finance from Miami University. She also holds the CAE, AAI, and AIS professional designations.
Lisa is a returning InsurTech NY speaker. She also gave a 2023 TED-style talk, “Agents Are Key in the Insurance Ecosystem.”
