Laura McKiernan Boylan is the Vice President of Underwriting Solutions at Bestow. Bestow is a life insurance technology company powering digital life insurance. Laura works with engineers, product owners, and QA to build a digital underwriting platform. She lives deep in medical, behavioral, and financial risk data. Her focus is on execution and operational optimization. Laura McKiernan Boylan delivered a TED-style talk at the 2023 InsurTech Spring Conference, titled “Unlocking Financial Inclusion in Life Insurance.”
Laura joined Bestow in 2023 to lead underwriting solutions. Her work supports a fully digital life insurance new business process. She designs the platforms that turn risk data into underwriting decisions.
Before Bestow, Laura spent more than six years at Haven Technologies. She served as Head of Underwriting Solutions. Earlier, she was a Product Owner for algorithmic underwriting. That work put her at the forefront of digital life insurance underwriting.
Laura began her career at AXA US. She spent more than six years there in actuarial and analytics roles. She worked across advanced actuarial analytics, reinsurance, and new business models. She completed an actuarial rotation program spanning hedging, valuations, and projections.
Laura earned a BA in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
