Karthik Suresh is the Field CTO at Cresta. Cresta is an enterprise AI company focused on outcomes-driven, real-world AI. Karthik is a technology and AI transformation leader with more than two decades of experience. His background spans solution architecture, product leadership, and enterprise AI strategy. He brings deep expertise in deploying AI in highly regulated industries. Karthik Suresh delivers a TED-style talk at the 2026 InsurTech Spring Conference, titled “How AI is Transforming Member Acquisition and Care.”
Karthik joined Cresta in 2026 as Field CTO. He was drawn to its balanced, outcomes-driven approach to AI. His focus is helping enterprises realize measurable returns from AI.
Karthik spent 19 years with Optum and UnitedHealth Group. He played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s digital transformation. Most recently, he was Senior Director of AI Transformation and Strategy. He led enterprise-wide adoption of generative and agentic AI tools. He also helped commercialize a healthcare AI governance offering, including responsible AI advisory services.
Karthik has worked globally across the US, India, and Brazil. He built and scaled technology partnerships throughout his career. He spent nearly 15 years in progressive roles at Optum India.
Karthik earned an MA in Engineering Management from the University of Hull. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
