A seasoned operator and investor, Jonathan brings over two decades of deep insurance expertise to his work with startups and growth-stage ventures.
Prior to founding Crystal Venture Partners, Jonathan served as Principal and Chief Financial Officer at Crystal & Company, a top-25 national insurance brokerage firm. Over his 20+ year tenure, he held key leadership roles in finance, field operations, and general management. His strategic oversight was instrumental in guiding the firm through its successful acquisition by Alliant Insurance Services in 2018.
With Crystal Venture Partners, Jonathan combines his operational background and entrepreneurial mindset to support insurtech startups driving meaningful transformation. He is a trusted advisor to founders and actively contributes to the growth of the insurtech ecosystem.
Jonathan is also a past investor in the InsurTech NY Match Program, a leading platform connecting insurtech startups with strategic investors. In this capacity, he has evaluated and supported some of the most promising early-stage companies in the space. Notably, he has collaborated alongside other top investors such as Josh Cohen (Principal, Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures) and Max Donsky (Analyst, Impression Ventures).
