Isaac Espinoza is Chief Executive Officer of Kettle, the AI‑enabled insurance and reinsurance innovator focused on modeling and managing climate‑related risks such as wildfires and other catastrophic perils. With nearly two decades of experience in insurance, reinsurance, and InsurTech strategy, Isaac leads Kettle’s mission to revolutionize how the industry understands risk through advanced data science, machine learning, and actuarial rigor.

Before joining Kettle as CEO, Isaac served as Senior Vice President, Strategy & Reinsurance at Root, Inc., where he directed corporate strategy, reinsurance functions, and actuarial leadership, and also acted as Managing Director and Board Member of Root Re, Root’s largest reinsurance entity. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade at Greenlight Reinsurance, taking on senior roles and co‑founding Greenlight Re Innovations, where he made venture‑stage investments and helped scale early‑stage InsurTech ventures.

Isaac began his career in actuarial and underwriting roles at Fireman’s Fund and Farmers Insurance, building a strong foundation in risk modeling and insurance analytics. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside, and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), underscoring his technical expertise and commitment to professional excellence.
