Frank Fineis is the Director of Machine Learning Engineering at Clearcover, a Chicago-based insurtech carrier and MGA providing car insurance that’s smarter, faster and puts customers’ needs above all else. At Clearcover, Frank helps develop and integrate leading-edge tech across the acquisition, insurance product, claims, and policyholder domains. With deep expertise in machine learning engineering and AI product development, Frank is recognized as an accomplished technical leader within the insurtech sector. At Clearcover, he has led AI engineering initiatives that have achieved significant operational efficiencies, including substantial time savings per claim through AI-powered automation and intelligent workflow systems.
Frank has previously led data science teams across e-commerce, insurance consulting, and IoT companies like Milliman and Uptake Technologies. He holds a Master of Science in Statistics from Northwestern University and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington. When he’s not debugging serverless AWS deployments, he’s watching Formula 1 with his West Highland White Terrier.
