Dan Woods is the founder and CEO of Socotra, a company that provides advanced core system software for the insurance industry, which he established in 2014. Before founding Socotra, he worked as a private equity investor and was an early member of Palantir’s engineering team. He holds a master’s degree in computer science from Stanford University.
While at Stanford, Dan focused on artificial intelligence and published highly cited research in the field. He later joined Palantir as its third backend engineer, where he developed the company’s first AI capabilities.
