Bill Keogh is Chief Operating Officer and Operating Partner at Eos Venture Partners, a global insurance-focused venture capital firm. At Eos, Bill focuses on due diligence and business building with the firm’s portfolio investments. He also supports fundraising and relationships across the insurance and investment communities. He brings more than 25 years of insurance industry leadership to the role. Bill spoke at a past InsurTech NY event on “Using Underwriting Data to Prevent Claims.”
Bill Keogh has led three insurtech companies over his career. Most recently, he served as Chairman and CEO of Advisen, a leading insurance data and analytics company. There, he revitalized the legacy business and prepared it for sale to a strategic buyer. Before Advisen, Bill was President of EQECAT, a catastrophe risk modeling firm. Earlier, he served as Global Group Executive of Client Development at RMS, another catastrophe modeling leader.
Bill also began his career in underwriting. He held underwriting roles at AIG, NAC Reinsurance, and Swiss Re. That foundation spanned property, aviation, and structured reinsurance. Today, Bill stays active as an advisor and board member across the insurance technology landscape. He serves as Principal of his advisory firm Ingenium and advises companies including those connected to The Institutes’ emerging technology consortium.
Bill Keogh holds a BA from Boston University. For an insurtech audience, Bill brings a veteran investor and operator’s perspective on insurtech growth, catastrophe risk and analytics, venture investing, underwriting, and guiding insurance companies through transformation.
