Alex Carr is a technology-driven insurance leader and repeat entrepreneur with deep expertise in loss control, underwriting, and digital transformation within the property and casualty (P&C) space. He currently serves as Director of Product Management at Accelerant, where he leads a full-stack team building tools that streamline the submission and ingestion of bordereau data for the Accelerant Risk Exchange platform—enhancing transparency, efficiency, and data integrity across the insurance value chain.
Alex is also the Co-Founder of SpotRisk.com, a risk management platform that delivers modern software solutions for loss control, including safety training, digital inspections, and inspector recruitment tools. Through SpotRisk, he helped create the highest-rated commercial property inspector training program in the market and continues to innovate in making workplace safety and loss control more scalable and effective.
Previously, Alex founded Elite Loss Control, a firm providing commercial building inspections for insurance carriers. There, he built and implemented a custom web application to optimize operations—from report generation to recruiting and quality control—ultimately scaling and exiting the business successfully.
Beyond his startups, Alex contributes to industry-wide progress as a Board Advisor to the Underwriter Services Association, where he supports more than 20 inspection firms with guidance on education and technology adoption. His career reflects a unique blend of field experience, product leadership, and entrepreneurial grit—all in service of modernizing core insurance functions.
