ThinkWorthy Consulting, LLC

Maria Ferrante-Schepis is the Founder & CEO of ThinkWorthy Consulting, LLC, a newly established firm dedicated to helping leaders in the life insurance and financial services industry think differently about persistent challenges and identify the problems truly worthy of attention. ThinkWorthy delivers motivational keynotes, workshops, and strategic masterclasses designed for conferences, off-sites, roundtables, and executive strategy sessions that drive insight, resilience, and forward-thinking action.

With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services space, Maria is widely recognized as an industry thought leader, speaker, author, and innovator. Prior to founding ThinkWorthy Consulting, she held senior executive roles in major carriers and served as President of Maddock Douglas, Inc., a growth consultancy focused on innovation and future-ready strategies for financial brands. In that role, Maria helped organizations anticipate change and build strategic momentum in dynamic markets.

Maria is a published author, best known for her Amazon bestseller Flirting with the Uninterested: Innovating in a ‘Sold Not Bought’ Category, which highlights opportunities for innovation in traditionally resistant industries. In 2025 she released Unfair Comparisons: Nuancing the ‘Sold Not Bought’ Category, offering fresh insights into the often-overlooked nuances critical to strengthening industry relevance.

In addition to her consulting and writing work, Maria serves on multiple boards, including BetterLife Insurance Company and Homesteaders Life Company, and advises fintech and insurtech startups across the U.S. and globally. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and an MBA from Hofstra University, as well as professional designations such as CLU and fellowship in the Life Management Institute.

Maria’s mission is to close the gap between consumer expectations and industry intentions, inspiring leaders to shape their own future rather than have it shaped for them.
