Marvin Pestcoe is an experienced corporate board director and reinsurance executive. He brings deep expertise in data analytics, risk management, and actuarial science. He currently serves as an independent director on several insurance boards. These include Hamilton Insurance Group and Catalina Holdings. He is a credentialed casualty actuary with more than 35 years of experience. Marvin spoke at a past InsurTechNY event.
Marvin has more than 20 years of experience leading insurance business units and investment teams. He served as CEO of PartnerRe’s $1.2 billion global Life and Health business. PartnerRe is a top-10 reinsurer. He later became the founding CEO of Langhorne Re, a life and annuity reinsurer.
Marvin also led large investment portfolios. He served as Chief Investment Officer for PartnerRe’s $15 billion global portfolio. He oversaw asset allocation and in-house portfolio managers. His work spanned government securities, alternative fixed income, and private equity.
Marvin is a seasoned risk and actuarial leader. He has served as Chief Pricing Officer, Chief Reserving Officer, Chief Actuary, and Chief Risk Officer. He has led teams modeling property catastrophe, mortality, and other insurance risks. He also has more than 15 years of service on private company boards.
